Welcome

The objectives and Statement of purpose

(i) To bring Sri Lankan Agriculture and Veterinary graduates and any other graduates involved in the broad areas of Agriculture and Natural Resources Management, currently living in Victoria, Inter-State and Overseas in contact with one another.

(ii) Assist wherever possible, those Sri Lankan Agriculture and Veterinary graduates intending to move to and settle down in Australia.

(iii) To Promote, communicate and maintain contacts with the Institutes of Higher Learning Sri Lanka and other overseas institutions as appropriate.

(iv) To promote social contacts and work towards the welfare of our membership whilst upholding Sri Lankan traditions and culture.

(v) To engage in fund raising activities in order to achieve the following: (a)Endow a scholarship fund to assist needy University students. (b)From time to time make donations to Sri Lanka for a worthy cause. (c) Assist Agriculture and Veterinary graduates of Sri Lankan origin in Australia as overseas students if and when there is a necessity.

(vi) Publish a newsletter to keep inter-state and overseas members informed of the activities of the Association.

(vii) To promote co-operation and assistance towards other Associations and organizations with similar objectives.
